Research On The Influence Of Rural Social Capital On Village Committee Election

Since 1980 s,China’s rural areas have undergone profound changes.After decades of development,the villagers committee has made great achievements,but also a lot of problems,resulting in the development of rural areas of China’s democratic politics is lagging behind.In view of many problems in the election of the village committee,some domestic scholars have carried on the research from the angle of the system,but based on the theory of social capital,this paper focuses on the impact of non institutional factors on the election of the village committee.This provides a new perspective for the study of the village committee election,which has great theoretical and practical significance.This case selection for Shanxi province in the understanding of the S S village,the village committee of many problems in the election process,the specific factors of social capital and its combination,to analyze the impact of social capital on the rural village committee elections.In this paper,through a number of research,selected the four prominent factors in the S village were analyzed,namely,reciprocity,social prestige,trust and family forces.In the second chapter,discusses the S village social capital on the dual influenceof village committee elections,with the following conclusion: mutual villagers can improve the villagers autonomous participation;good social reputation for elected village cadres village folk have both ability and political integrity;the widespread distrust of low voter participation self-efficacy exist;the formal election due to family influence.The third chapter discusses the path of promoting the rural social capital and the coordinated development of village committee election,on the one hand look at the dual influence of rural social capital brings from the rational perspective;on the other hand,based on the relationship between the two,from the increase of social capital and regulate the electoral system to talk about,the two complement each other,complement each other.
