With the rapid development of the new economy,especially the Internet industry,Internet companies is very active in mergers and acquisitions,this way has become an important mode for Internet companies to develop.The Internet industry has some characteristics different from traditional industries such as network effects,bilateral market characteristics,locking effects,product compatibility and standardization.These characteristics make the Internet industry operators have their own features.This problem is in favor of solving the anti-monopoly law's problem to the Internet industry,and conducive to the improvement of Chinese antitrust law.In this paper,we combine the concentration situation of China's Internet industry,the competition characteristics of the Internet industry market and the effect of concentration with merger theory.First,we introduce the motivation of merger and the competition effect that the merger impose on market,and briefly combing the basic theory of regulating concentration.Secondly,through the description of Chinese Internet industry competition and concentration conditions and the comparison that Chinese conditions and abroad conditions,we got the result that our companies' motivation is improving compete power,strengthening market control,maintaining the advantage.But abroad motivation is different,they focus on the layout of core business.Thirdly,we introduce the characteristics of Internet industry,such as network effect,two-sided market and locking effect.And through the economic analysis to get the competition effect of different type of concentration.Then,we analyze DIDI buy Uber based on the framework of Chinese anti-monopoly law,this deal may lead to changes in the market,anti-monopoly authorities necessary to make a additional restrictions to the deal.Finally,we put forward some suggestion of antitrust regulation of the Internet industry concentration.
