Study On The Social Protection Of Prisoners' Children

Due to their parent or parents committed a criminal crime and serving sentences,underage children are being left with no one to look after them.Under this circumstance,their life quality,education situation and psychological mental state,etc,are facing variety difficulties which set obstacles in their way of growth.These children formed a special minority called Prisoner's Children.In this paper,the research method is observation and interview.Through the observation and contact of the prisoner's children,the interviews with the caregivers and the volunteers who participated in the investigation of prisoner's children.as well as the interviews with two social workers who have served several years of child service.The author summed up the plight of prisoner's children may encounter in real life,they may be no guarantee of living,poor living conditions,lack of family education,the drop out of school.This group may have psychological problems and high crime rate worthy of our attention.However,the lack of social protection is also the reality of this group,not only the policy and legal deficiencies,but also the public on this group of attention and recognition is relatively low,and the protection of civil power is not enough.In order to meet the needs of the prisoner's children,solve their predicament and provide them a good environment,we must strengthen their social protection and improve the rescue protection system.First of all,we should strengthen the protection of the the government and the cooperation among departments.Secondly,we should strengthen the protection of the family,school and community,improve family education,and create a great atmosphere.Finally,we should strengthen the civil institutional aspects and integrate into the social work professional elements,what improve the professionalism of the service this children.Through the construction of a long-term and comprehensive protection mechanism to protect their legal rights,so as to they can meet their needs and achieve positive and healthy growth.
