A Study On The Model Of China's Peacekeeping Operation

Since the ancient times,on the silk road,the Chinese nation has formed a fine tradition of advocating peace and friendship,equality and cooperation during its communication with other nations in the world,which could be exmaplified by the deeds of Zhang Qian and Zheng He.Chinese traditional ideas include "harmony","It is such a delight to have friends coming from afar",“Seek common ground while reserving differences” and so on.The purpose of the United Nations peacekeeping is to emphasize the maintenance of peace.Therefore,the traditional Chinese “harmony thinking” in Chinese culture is highly compatible with the purpose of United Nations peacekeeping operations.Since the formal participation of China in the United Nations peacekeeping operations in the 1990 s,China ranks the first in the number of people participating the peacekeeping operations among all the permanent members of the UN Security Council,and the second in terms of sharing the UN peacekeeping funds all over the world.And has formed the Chinese peacekeeping model in the past three decades.President Xi Jinping attended the UN Peacekeeping Summit on September 28,2015,and pointed out that peace is a common aspiration and lofty goal of mankind.The United Nations peacekeeping operation is born for peace and is an important way to safeguard world peace and security.Peacekeeping operations bring confidence to the conflict zone and let the local people see a ray of hope.President Xi put forward the concept of "community of a shared future",made a Chinese interpretation of the UN peacekeeping concept,affirmed the important role played by peacekeeping operations in maintaining world peace and development,and expressed the great support of the Chinese government for peacekeeping operations.Therefore,peacekeeping has not only become an important starting point in the construction of“Belt and Road",it will also become an important means for China to deepen participation in global security governance.Based on the theory of global security governance and international security theory,this paper chooses to do empirical analysis of China's peacekeeping case in Sudan,Lebanon and Somalia,so as to carry out research on Chinese way of peacekeeping which emphasizes on the peaceful cooperation,this helps to demonstrate that China's peacekeeping action not only prevent security risks in regions alongside “Belt and Road ”,but also contribute to regional and world peace and development,and try to make "China's contribution" for global security governance.
