Threats Of Security And SCO's Role In Central Asia Region

The objective of this thesis is to investigate the effectiveness of the coordinated security policies of Shanghai Cooperation Organization, other regional associations and great powers in the Central Asia region. The research focuses on the threats and analyzes their influence to the security of the region in the periods of before and after 9/11 event.To estimate the roles of the "three evils" threats in the CAR will give to create new methods of combating them in regional arena. The potentials and approaches of SCO on ensuring security will be examined. The fundamental contradiction between SCO, CIS,CSTO and between Russia, China, US will be revealed. Methods of historical,comparative-typological, system analyses and scientific prognostication have been applied to this study.
