With the further development of disciplines and the further development of disciplines,in the middle 1980 of the 20 th century,China began a nationwide evaluation of the first round of disciplinary evaluation.By 2016,the evaluation of university disciplines in China has been carried out in the four round,through discipline evaluation not only promoted the further development of the discipline,but also to speed up the process of modernization of China's higher education as a whole,the contribution of higher education is quite large,discipline evaluation has become an effective way to improve the competitiveness of the university.This paper studies the role of Chinese government in the discipline evaluation from the perspective of governance.First of all,this paper this paper analyzes the logic of the government in discipline evaluation from the perspective of management and governance,analyzes the existing problems in the discipline evaluation under the logic analysis of management,and then introduces the basic view of the theory of governance,expounds the value guidance of government governance theory in the discipline evaluation,lay the theoretical foundation for the re positioning of government role.Then,analyzes the development course of our discipline evaluation and use the research method of grounded,starting from the policy text,through the interpretation of the relevant policy of discipline assessment,analysis of the role of government in discipline evaluation,further discusses the role of government under the current discipline in the evaluation which brings out the problems and disadvantages.Through the analysis of foreign government practices in the discipline evaluation,evaluation discipline mainly to the social intermediary organization and three party,and pay attention to the combination of qualitative and quantitative evaluation methods,and focus on the use of evaluation results,summarize the experience and Enlightenment of the role of foreign governments in the evaluation of the discipline,It is necessary to realize the diversification of evaluation subjects,the openness of evaluation process and the scientific evaluation methods.Finally,by using the analytical framework of governance theory,to explore the role of our government in discipline evaluation,put forward the idea of government roles,which the government wants to change the discipline in the evaluation of the role of centralization,playing the role of service and role of guide and participant roles.Whatever,hope to provide reference to China's next round of disciplinary evaluation work for the department.
