A Study On Chinese Intellectual Elite's View Of Japan Since The Reform And Opening Up

China and Japan are close neighbors separated only by a strip of water.It has been over thousands of years that people from two countries kept friendly relations and cooperation.Since modern times,the relations between China and Japan have gone through twists and turns.Many battles and cooperation have ever taken place between two countries.After the reform and openingup,the development of Sino-Japanese relation has entered a new era,the association between the people from two countries has become more and more frequent,especially after entering into the new century,the wave of globalization and the change of international order have brought opportunities and challenges to China and Japan.China and Japan cooperated with each other in the political,economic,social and cultural fields.However,there were divergences between the two countries,the territorial dispute,the friction of economic and trade issues,which have brought the test of bilateral relations,so that bilateral relations have touched a low point.In spite of this,bilateral relations should seek common development rather than hostility and confrontation under the background of economic globalization and regional integration.China and Japan should seize the opportunity at this time to deepen the political mutual trust and economic cooperation between the two countries and realize the healthy and stable development of bilateral relations.Chinese intellectual elite has the characteristics of intellectual resources,carrying scientific knowledge,civilization and rational representation.They have a scientific research method to study the international relations,especially Sino-Japanese relations and Japan problem,while the intellectual elite also has the social function to effect the ordinary people and foreign policy decisions.Therefore,the study of Chinese intellectual elite in the field of Sino-Japanese relations is of great significance to answering some of the problems in Sino-Japanese relations.The author chooses the perspective of the Japanese concept of the Chinese intellectual elite,and carries out a research of the role of the intellectual elite in the construction of the Japanese concept in the general public and the foreign policy-making.The author hopes to find the influencing factors and future trends of Sino-Japanese relations.The first chapter of this paper explores the characteristics of the Chinese intellectual elite's view of Japan by combing the changes in Sino-Japanese relations since the reform and opening up.The second chapter focuses on the factors that influence the Chinese intellectual elite's view of Japan from the fields of Sino-Japanese relations,history,traditional culture and public opinion.The third chapter analyzes the influence on foreign policy decision by combining the characteristics of Chinese intellectual elite.The fourth chapter discusses the influence of the Chinese intellectual elite on the Japanese view of the people and explores the positive effect of the former to the latter.
