In the twenty-first century,with the continuous strengthening of globalization,the importance of culture has been further highlighted in diplomatic relations.According to the general situation of cultural exchange,we can explore the traces of the construction of cultural relations between countries.These can be used as a basis for studying the country's foreign relations.With the progress of science and technology,the media of cultural exchange has become plentiful increasingly.As a carrier of cross-cultural communication,the film has an essential influence on the construction of cultural relations between countries.Indian film rose in the end of the nineteenth century,bearing the important task of spreading the Indian culture.Its distinctive national characteristics and gorgeous audio-visual effects are famous all over the world.Indian films not only have a huge market overseas,but also popular in some neighboring countries.According to neighboring countries' attitude towards the Indian films,we can explore whether India and its neighboring countries have a good relationship.This paper will take the Indian film as the research object,to explore the effectiveness of cultural communications between Indian and its neighborhoods.This paper first elaborates the cultural theory and its concept in international relations,and then combs the development process of Indian film as well as the Indian society and culture behind the process.The spreading of Indian films in neighboring countries can be divided into two categories,the countries which Indian films is spread smoothly and the countries which Indian films is spread blocked.Affect by the political,economic,religious and other factors,each country has different attitude towards the Indian film.
