A Study On Women’s Participation In Politics In Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region

Women’s participation in politics is an important content to realize the basic state policy of gender equality and to protect women’s political rights.It is an important ind icator of women’s survival and development,and also an important embodiment of social political civilization.Nowadays,economy is fast-developing,more and more women are invo lved in the domestic and international political life,and women’s participation in politics has ushered in a new s ituation,it is not only the embodiment of social progress,but also the inevitab le result of historical development.Politics is influenced by women’s own thinking and behavior,Women’s participation in politics is not only contributed to the political management in their own strength,but also play a very far-reaching and positive influence on world’s development and peace.This paper analyzes the current situation of Women’s participation in politics in Inner Mongo lia Autonomous Region,finds the main problems and their causes,and puts forward some targeted recommendations based on the domestic and foreign advanced experience,hoping to be able to improve the level of women’s participation in politics,and thus to enhance the status of women in the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region.Through the collation of China’s public policy of women’s participation in politics and analyzing the status of Women’s participation in politics in Inner Mongo lia Autonomous Region,the problems of women’s participation in politics in Inner Mongo lia Autonomous Region are:the percentage of female cadres is still low;the structure of women’s participation in politics is irrational;there is a deviation from the implementation of women’s participation in politics;the consciousness of women’s participation in politics needs to be strengthened.Mainly due to the influence of the traditional gender concept,the limited by development level of economy,the lack of stable policy support,and the overall low quality of women.In view of the above problems,puts forward the following countermeasures:First,we should strengthen consciousness of women’s participation in politics and establish the concept of equality between men and women.Optimiz ing the social environment of women’s participation in politics,and strengthen women’s awareness of their political participation.Secondly,we must strengthen the economic foundation of women’s participation in politics.Vigorously develop the social productive forces and guarantee the employment of women in an all-round way.Third ly,we should improve the laws and polic ies concerning women’s partic ipation in politics.Improve the sex ratio guarantee system,establish and improve a long-term mechanism for training and selecting female cadres.Fourth,we must improve women’s overall quality.We should improve women’s cultural and educational standards and strengthen their training.
