Study On The Elderly Care Of Empty Nesters In Taishan District

With China’s economic and social development,accelerating industrialization and urbanization,a large number of young adults in rural areas into the city for bread,lead to the increasing of rural empty-nest families and empty nesters.As the increase of age,their pension life also appeared more and more problems,such as most of the rural left-behind elderly relied on farming to make a living,all the year round to get up early to bed late in the fields of hard farming,some empty-nesters,undertake the task of live to take care of grandchildren,can saying is very hard.Some empty-nesters because of body condition is bad,often need to take medicine,serious still need hospital treatment,but because economic source is single,a doctor difficult phenomenon often appear,sometimes even difficult to maintain basic life,especially some of the sick old man,often neglect,had on there under,life very difficult;Although some empty-nesters has enough economic support,also do not need others to take care of material life,but all the year round was not at home,because of children often feel lonely and helpless in spirit,especially in the Mid-Autumn festival,the Spring Festival holiday,without the company of children,lack of happiness.The emergence of these problems on the rural empty-nest old man’s life is put forward the challenge,how to solve the pension problems they faced,let them to spend their twilight years,also become the focus of the society as a whole difficult problem.This paper takes tai shan district,270 rural empty-nesters as empirical research object,by taking the form of questionnaire and case interview to understand their basic living conditions,and also as a basis to explore them in pension life faces some problems,and an analysis of the causes for the existing problems,to reveal the solution to the problem of rural empty-nest elderly life necessity and urgency.Empty-nest old man’s concept and theory is the theoretical basis of this article,through to the paper involves the empty-nesters,empty nest family,empty nester old-age security and the content of defining the main concepts,such as the research content and scope of this article;Then this article involves the family life cycle theory,demand hierarchy theory,theory of social support,social exchange theory,elaborates the theoretical basis,to provide necessary theoretical support for the research of the paper.The analysis of the present situation of the 270 rural empty-nesters is one of the main contents of this paper.Through the form of questionnaire and case interview to get the first-hand data,and on this basis summarizes the 270 rural empty-nesters in economic support,daily life care and spiritual life of the basic pension status:62.2%of rural empty-nesters in 1000-1500 yuan monthly income,income on the way to the main income on the work of you and your spouse,children’s fund,pension or social benefits.76.3%of rural empty-nesters body health can also,pension life mainly is one of the traditional family endowment,difficulties in daily life mainly rely on each other and help each other to solve with the spouse,but still in part of the elderly,the sick old man lives there is no one to take care of,look down on disease phenomenon.86.7%of the rural empty-nesters report that the children go home once or twice a year,and then go back home for a week or a half a month,and have little time to communicate with their children.Although all rural built public entertainment places,but due to lack of maintenance funds,a lot of fitness equipment was falling behind,places utilization ratio is lower,and the old people usual recreation mainly to watch TV,chat,play CARDS,or a string of chess,etc.The pension problem of rural empty-nesters in taishan mountain and the reason analysis are two key points of this paper.Through the questionnaire data and real cases,to sum up the tai shan district rural empty-nesters in economic support,daily life care and spiritual life pension problems,main show is:the high cost of low income and expenditure,life pressure,lack of life care,daily entertainment life less,lack of spiritual solace.And respectively from the country,the village community,family and individual four aspects to analysis the reasons of the empty-nest elderly problems,main show is:the government’s policy support of social security,rural old-age service system is not sound,the traditional family old-age security function gradually weakening,the rural empty-nesters self care ability is poor.The solution to solve the problem of rural empty-nest elderly in taishan mountain is the foothold of this paper.According to the research results and conclusions,the corresponding countermeasures are put forward.Include:strengthen the support of the government to social security enterprise,further promote rural old-age service system construction,improve the family old-age security ability,train their consciousness of self pension,improve the ability of self pension,etc.
