Therole Conflict And Accommodation Of Youth Police At The Grassroots Level Evidence From In-depth Interviews With 15 Youth Police With The Grassroots Level

Since the full implementation of the police reform in all round way,The ministry of public security require 85% of the police to sink to the grassroots.Grassroots police team has become one of the most important forces in the public security system in our country.With the increasing demand for grassroots police everywhere More and more young policeman expand the police force,playing a crucial role in the grassroots work.Along with social transformation from planned economy to market economy in our country,the function of the police is also changing,But now,the grassroots police positioning function is not complete,in addition the young policeman due to their own or the other people’s influence in the grass-roots work,Produce a lot of contradictions and conflicts.The grass-roots young policeman role conflict problems become a realistic problem that deserves to be attended.Discover the role conflict of the youth police at the grassroots,Analysis the reasons of the role conflict and find the corresponding adjustment strategy have an important significance for the young police and the basic-level police team.This study based on the role theory,select 15 young policeman at the basic-level for the in-depth interviews.According to the basis of data analysis,Role conflict of grassroots young policeman have three aspects,The first is the functional responsibilities stipulated in the laws and regulations conflict with reality of practical work in the process of law enforcement.The second is the role limitations caused the role conflict: Young police’s own role expectation and role conflict between job requirements,Young policeman role behavior level and the ideal requirements between the role of conflict in the process of the youth in the role of police practice and conflicts faced huge pressure of work.The third is the inconsistent role expectations and requirements of role conflict.Including social(the public),organization(leader),family(family).Different role expectations for young policeman caused the conflict.The above three aspects of role conflict have negative impact.This paper mainly analyzed the reasons of grass-roots young policeman role conflict from the historical level,social level and individual level.In the period of social transition,the role of police is changing.The diversity of social expect and the lack of clarity.The gap of the practical role and the ideal role caused role conflict caused role conflict.In the face of the plight of role conflict,find the adjustment method to alleviate the role conflict of grassroots young policeman.
