Research On Social Workers’ Roles And Functions In Community Elderly Services

As a populous country,China,its aging society has lasted from the late 19th century to the present.With the rapid development of China’s economy,social stability,and advancement in science and technology,more and more people have become more healthy and prosperous,and the problems caused by the ageing of the population have become more and more important.It’s not uncommon for rich people to become old.The problem of old-age care needs to be solved.Various fields have also begun to pay attention to and contact with the pension industry.The old-age care model that has been explored has become more and more.The multiple and mixed model has led to chaos in the pension industry,and the intervention of social work has undoubtedly explored a scientific professional pension for the elderly.the road.Social work plays a more diversified role in the modern society and brings more innovative factors to China’s pension field.This paper starts from the community involved in Y-Center for Social Work Development in T City and explores the role and functions of social workers in community-based pensions.From April to August 2017,I conducted a four-month professional internship at Y Social Work Development Center.Through in-depth institutional projects and professional interventions for the aged in the community, we observe the mode of work of social workers in the service process for the elderly.The social workers directly participate in the community and act as the supporters of the service and guide the coordination of the relationship And the interests of the elderly defenders and other roles,in addition to the social worker’s basic role as well as needs assessors,resource planners,supervisors and policy researchers.In terms of functions under the influence of roles,social workers in Y Center for Social Work promote the development of social work mainly from case management and group activities,psychological comfort and resource integration.Summarizes the deep-seated factors that affect the roles and functions of social workers,including inaccurate positioning of roles at individual level,low theoretical literacy,lack of practical ability and inability of learning ability,as well as the lack of resources support and lack of supervisory work,Uncoordinated workers and other objective factors.From the perspectives of enhancing the professional skills of social workers,using the two-way model of social workers and volunteers,mobilizing the resources for community retirement,implementing humane old-age management policies and perfecting laws,regulations and policies on pensions,the paper makes clear the roles of social workers,Give full play to the role of community endowment function,enhance the social worker’s endowment skills in community endowment,and then promote the rapid and high quality development of community endowment mode.
