According to the "National Population Development Plan(2016-2030)" data, the elderly population of 60-year-old and above in China’s has reached about 221 million by the end of 2015.China has entered the stage of deep aging, and the health of the elderly population has become an important issue to future social concern.Because of the great difference between the elderly population and the labor force in social support and socio-economic status, and social support is increasingly used as a moderator in the analysis of the impact of socio-economic status on the elderly. It possesses great theoretical and practical significance to further studying the role of social support in the process of the impact of socio-economic status on the healthy aging. In this study,we select the elderly people who are aged over 60 years in Jing’an District in Shanghai as subjects, applying SPSS 22.0 statistical analysis software to analyze the impact of socioeconomic status on the healthy aging through multiple linear regression analysis. This study introduces social support as a mediator variable, and explores the mechanism of socioeconomic status on the healthy aging through structural equation model.Through the analysis and examination, our assumptions are basically verified and the draw the following conclusions:(1)Socioeconomic status has a significant impact on the elderly health.Specifically, the higher the monthly income level possesses, the better their health status;the years of education and monthly income are proportional to the health status of the elderly, monthly income has a relatively small effect on health of the elderly;the occupational type has no significant effect on the health of the elderly. After integrating the monthly income level, the occupational type and the years of education into the index of socio-economic status, the index of socio-economic status is positively related to the elderly health.(2)Social support has a significant impact on health care.Specifically, subjective support and the availability of support has a significant impact on the self-evaluation of healthy aging;subjective support and objective support for the elderly have a significant impact on self-care ability.(3)Socio-economic status has a significant impact on social support.Specifically, the elderly with higher educational level have better social support.(4)Socio-economic status has both the direct and indirect impact on the health of the elderly;social support plays a mediating role in the influence of socio-economic status to healthy aging. This interpretation mechanism has great policy implications, despite the health benefits are limited and lagged to the health improvement, social factors are more proactive and persistent to the effects on health. In the future implementation of "Healthy China 2030",it should focus not only on the direct impact of socio-economic status on health, but also concern about the socio-economic status, thus,to alleviate the inequality of health caused by economic inequality.
