Research On The Influence Of Social Support On The Health Of The Rural Elderly

With the development of the economy,the process of aging has been accelerating,and the number of elderly people is increasing day by day.The “Silver Age” has come.In 2017,there were 241 million people aged 60 and over in China,and 158 million people aged 65 or older,which accounted for 17.3% and 11.4% of the total population.The elderly population is huge.According to the sixth census data,the number of people aged 60 and over is 178 million,of which the rural elderly has exceeded 100 million,and the number of elderly people in rural areas exceeds that of urban areas.In the elderly population,the total number of elderly people aged 80 and above has reached 20 million.In rural areas,there are 12 million people,and rural areas also exceed towns.The total number of disabled elderly people is 33 million,of whom 10.8 million are completely disabled.Among the total disabled elderly,the proportion in rural areas is 80%,which is far higher than that of towns.Rural elderly is limited by economic conditions,ideological concepts,and pensions and medical facilities.Compared with urban elderly,the healthy situation of rural elderly is even more worrying.19 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China points out the implementation of the healthy China strategy.In order to realize the goal of healthy China and comprehensively improve the health quality of the people,it is necessary to pay special attention to rural elderly.In terms of the indicators of rural elderly healthy situation of dependent variables,this article takes SRH and BADL as subjective evaluation indicators and healthy objective evaluation indicators,and studies the influencing factors of rural elderly healthy situation from the perspective of social support.Social support is divided into two aspects: formal social support and informal social support.Formal social support mainly selects social security policy indicators such as medical insurance and pension insurance that are closely related to the rural elderly.The main choices for informal social support come from indicators related to economic and spiritual support of children.On the basis of controlling the characteristics of the individual population,binary logistic regression analysis is performed on the health situation of the rural elderly by using the spss statistical analysis software.This study found that formal social support and informal social support have an impact on the health situation of the rural elderly.Among them,social activities have a positive effect on the subjective evaluation indicators of rural elderly health,and children's associations and pension insurance have a positive impact on the objective evaluation indicators of rural elderly health.Therefore,this article believes that to ensure the health of the rural elderly should start from multiple angles,and all the main actors work together.This article mainly proposes the protection of health of the rural elderly from the perspectives of law,policy,culture,society,and family.It is hoped that this study can provide some ideas for maintaining and protecting rural elderly health.
