| Since our country began to implement the family planning policy in the 1970 s,the population has been effectively controlled. After long-term policy implementation, the family population structure in my country has gradually shown a "421" structure. The problem of population aging has subsequently deepened, and how to give full play to the value of the elderly has become the main concern of today’s society. In this process, measures to encourage the re-employment of the elderly have been widely recognized and promoted by all sectors of society. Therefore, this paper aims to explore the relationship between social insurance(mainly pension insurance and medical insurance for the elderly),health and re-employment,and explore how to achieve the goal of "the elderly have something to do".This paper will use the 2018 China Health and Retirement Longitudinal Survey(CHARLS)data and use Stata 15.0 software for data analysis.Firstly, this paper divideds social insurance into pension benefits and medical insurance usage for consideration, and the re-employment is comprehensively measured by the CHARLS questionnaire related questions, analyze the impact of different social insurance on the re-employment of the young elderly in urban areas by using the regression analysis of Logistic.Secondly, carry out sub-sample regression to compare the differences in re-employment of elderly people of different genders and educational backgrounds; Finally, use Process’ s Bootstrap method to explore whether self-assessed health and physical health can play a mediating role as mediating variables, and how to do so effect. The empirical results show that, first, the level of pension insurance benefits is significantly negatively correlated with the re-employment of urban young people; The use of medical insurance is negatively correlated with the re-employment of urban young people, but it is not statistically significant. In sub-sample regression,(1)In terms of gender. The level of pension insurance benefits is significantly negatively correlated with the re-employment of the urban young people; The use of medical insurance is significantly negatively correlated with the re-employment of male elderly and negatively correlated with the re-employment of female elderly, but it is not statistically significant.(2)In terms of educational background. The level of pension insurance benefits is significantly negatively correlated with the re-employment of the urban young people; The use of medical insurance is significantly negatively correlated with the re-employment of the elderly with a primary school degree or below, and is positively correlated with the re-employment of the elderly with a junior high school degree or above, but it is not statistically significant.Second, health is a mediating variable between social insurance and re-employment,and it plays a mediating role between the two.In terms of the level of pension insurance benefits, physical health and self-rated health do not play an intermediary role between the two;In terms of the use of medical insurance, physical health and self-rated health both play a significant intermediary role between the two,and physical health and self-rated health have a chain-like mediating effect between them.Based on the empirical results, the following suggestions are made based on the theory of social support. The first is to optimize the level of pension insurance benefits; The second is to improve the medical security system; The third is to improve the health of the elderly; The fourth is to extend the legal retirement age reasonably. In addition,in terms of the development of human resources for the elderly, based on the theory of human resources, active aging theory, and learning from advanced foreign experience,we made targeted suggestions on actively developing education for the elderly, improving laws and regulations on the re-employment of the elderly, and enriching the forms of voluntary activities for the elderly. |
