Research On The City Diplomacy Of Chongqing Based On Its Orientation Of The National Central City

The level of city diplomacy is an important part of a city's comprehensive competitiveness.As one of the "National Center Cities",Chongqing,the orientation of its "National Center City" has the impact on "city diplomacy" ?Only by clarifying the relationship between the two,can we better promote the development of the city,and make more rational decisions for the development of the cities.From the analysis of the background,connotation and influencing factors of city diplomacy,we can understand that the national strategy,system design,and internationalization level are important criteria for judging city diplomacy.National central cities are closely related to city diplomacy,and finds that the accurate positioning of the national central city contributes to the development of city diplomacy.Historically,Chongqing's city diplomacy began in 1891,and the history of the city diplomacy was divided into four phases according to the different political status.Through analysis,we can find that during the period of 1891-1936,Chongqing's city diplomacy was in its infancy.From 1937 to 1948,Chongqing's city diplomacy entered a stage of high tide;during 1949-1996,Chongqing's city diplomacy was a period of ups and downs;During the year of 1997-2010,Chongqing city diplomacy entered a period of rapid development.This paper studies Chongqing's city diplomacy under the orientation of the National Central City,namely,the study of Chongqing's city diplomacy in the past 2010-2018 years.According to the requirements of the National Central city orientation on the competitiveness of opening to the outside world,it can be determined that the level of contemporary Chongqing city diplomacy has not yet fully satisfied the requirements of the National Central City Orientation.This article also uses the case analysis method to briefly describe the successful experiences of two cities-Guangzhou and Paris,and discovers the inadequacies of Chongqing's city diplomacy,and then seeks measures to make up for the gaps,and looks ahead to the future development of Chongqing's city diplomacy.
