After the failure of the great revolution in 1927,the rural development is depressed,the agricultural production is sluggish,and the peasants'life is hard.The development of China is an urgent problem.Therefore,in order to find answers,intellectuals,government agencies and so on carried out a ranging rural investigation.The"Chinese Rural School"represented by Chen Hansheng,Qian Junrui,Xue Muqiao,Sun Yefang and other left-wing scholars on China's social nature in 1930s has made a clear appearance on the guidance of Marxism theory.The school carried out a large number of rural field investigations and analyzed the survey data.Based on the Chinese countryside,they expounded their views on the nature of Chinese society as semi-feudal and semi-colonial.They also provided evidence for the Chinese Communist Party's judgment on the nature of the semi-colonial and semi-feudal society at that time.They arouse the patriotic sentiments and enthusiasm of the masses of peasants for anti Japanese War and contributed to the formation of the Unites Front.This paper takes the"Chinese Rural School"in the 30s and 40s twentieth Century as the object of the study.By using the methods of literature analysis,deductive induction and empirical analysis,the historical activities of the"Chinese rural school"are explored in order to make an objective historical evaluation of it as far as possible,and draw lessons from it for the implementation of the strategy of Rural Revitalization.The article firstly introduces the background and representative figures of the"Chinese rural school".Secondly,it introduces the historical activities of the"Chinese rural school",and divides its historical activities into two parts--the study of the rural economic problems and the exploration of the rural salvation movement.During the study of historical activities of rural economic problems,Chen Hansheng organized and led a large scale of rural investigation activities,mainly including the social survey of Wuxi,Baoding and Guangdong.The survey included land ownership,farmers'living conditions,rural sideline and so on.Through the investigation and analysis of the vast rural area of representative different regions,this paper provided a strong argument for the view of the semi-colonial and semi-feudal society of Chinese society.After the September18~thh incident,the focus of Chinese rural school shifted to the situation of postwar rural areas and the development of rural work.Chinese countryside(Special issue in wartime)came into being.The"Chinese Rural School"members and the vast rural workers sent out the call to mobilize all classes on the magazine,or to appeal to the people of their own sight in the battlefield,or to figure out the problems existed in the current rural mobilization work and the experience that can be used for reference.The"Chinese Rural School"seek truth from facts,make investigations into the countryside,and combine the related theories of Marxism doctrine with concrete practice to explore the direction of Chinese society.It made a strong voice in that time by a series of historical events.The study of"Chinese Rural School"had a reference to the construction and development of socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era.It has an important inspiration for the implementation if investigation and research in the implementation of the strategy of Rural Revitalization.At the same time,the intellectuals in the new era have pointed out the direction to support of rural contribution.
