Nower days, The Internet and game industry are developing rapidly. With the commercial game exploring the educational value of the games, the games which related to the field of education began to get more attention. Whether based on game and combining teaching content, or teaching software combining elements of games, educational games highlight their distinctive educational significance. But through research on educational game in China, the author found out that the quantity and quality of educational games are not satisfactory.The adolescents get to know the immune system in junior high school, But immune processes involved a series of complex reactions in cellular and molecular level. Its Complexity makes it difficult for them to understand how the immune system works, which is unfavorable for their study of biological sciences. Therefore, the design of education educational game on Immunology, which is both instructional and educational, is meaningful.First of all, the author made a literature of theories and practices related to educational games at home and abroad, and then the combination of education game design and motivation teaching is proposed. Through the four lenses of motivation, flow, learning environments, and game design, there are clear connections that show how learning and gaming are fundamentally built from the same base. Then the author introduced three educational game design model GOM, POM and GAM, and explains their evolutionary relationships. Psychological characteristics of adolescents, including attention, perception, thinking, memory and other cognitive characteristics and motivation to learn biology were analyzed.Depending on the characteristics, a preliminary design thinking was presented. Then, the author analyzed and refined the immunology knowledge, giving full consideration to the psychological characteristics of junior high school students, on the basis of instructional design and educational game design theory and GAM model, educational game design ideas and principles were proposed and applied to the educational game design of immune system for junior high school students. Finally, the key steps of game development are introduced.
