The Research Of Deng Xiaoping's Ecological Civilization Thought And College Student's Ecological Moral Education

With more than 30 years of the reform and opening-up policy, China has undergone enormous changes, economic developing smoothly and healthily and people's living standard improving greatly. But the ecological environment deterioration has also become the severe and urgent social problem for modern people. The report at 18th Party Congress has regarded "Beautiful China" as the grand goal of ecological civilization construction in the future, which is helpful to accelerate the process of ecological civilization construction. In the new historical period, we should study Deng Xiaoping's ecological civilization thought seriously, and under his guidance, seek the solving ways of the ecological moral education among college students.Deng Xiaoping, as the chief designer of the reform and opening-up policy and socialist modernization construction, absorbs abundant thoughts of ecological civilization in his theory. But his theory is not formed in one day, developed gradually on basis of the ecological civilization thoughts of Marx, Lenin and Mao Zedong instead. The main contents include:controlling population, improving population quality, the common people participating in the protection of the ecological environment, improving the legal system to have laws to follow, science and technology being the first productive force. From the contents of Deng Xiaoping's thoughts on the ecological civilization, we can come to the conclusion that his ecological civilization thought is practical, scientific and legal.College students, as the main participants of the future socialist cause, must be accepted the ecological moral education to make them form good habits of ecological ethics. At present, some serious problems appeared in the process of ecological moral education among college students:the weakness of the ecological basic knowledge; lack of the ecological participation consciousness; obsolete form of the ecological moral education; shortage of the qualified teachers. The causes of these college students' ecological moral education problems mainly include:school pays little attention to the ecological moral education; the way of the ecological moral education is single; the environment has negative effect on the ecological moral education; the evaluation system on the ecological moral education is not perfect.The enlightenment of Deng Xiaoping's ecological civilization thought on the ecological moral education for college students includes five aspects:persisting in the guidance of Deng Xiaoping's ecological civilization thought in the process of education; strengthening the understanding of the concept and content of the ecological moral education among college students; guiding college students to participate in the protection of the ecological environment actively; using advanced technology to organize teaching; optimizing the environment of the ecological moral education.
