Task-based Teaching Approach emphasizes “learning by doing”.Learners need to complete tasks by using English. It has gained more and more attention since it arose in 1980's. In recent years, it has become a trend of English teaching reformation in home. However, among a lot of relevant researches the study on the application of task-based language teaching in Pre-school Educational Students' English teaching in vocational school is lack. On the base of learning a great many of thesis and practical researches, I has applied task-based teaching approach in Pre-school Educational Students' English teaching in a vocational school according to the features of students majoring in preschool education and the needs of kindergarten teaching.The requirement of English Teaching Outline in Secondary Vocational Schools- Revised Edition is cleared by analyzing it. The importance of task-based language teaching in Pre-school Educational Students' English improving is pointed out by analyzing the job's needs and students' studying features. The conceptions of “task” and “task-based language teaching” are defined; the researching situations of task-based language teaching both abroad and in home are narrated through literature review,research and analysis in relevant theories. The objections designing, tasks designing principles, process designing and teaching principle designing in task-based language teaching are analyzed according to task-basedlanguage teaching theories, the features of students majoring in preschool education and the vocational demand.Two classes from 13 Preschool Education in Secondary Vocational Department, Meishan Vocational and Technical College are picked out to take this educational experiment through investigation and testing. There are 70 students in total. Class One is compared class while Class Two is experimental class. The experiment lasts from September, 2014 to June,2015. Zhang Lihua's teaching steps, task presentation--language presentation--language practice---task complement are referenced during the experiment. Through carrying out investigation and tests before and after the experiment and analyzing the results by using SPSS, conclusions can be drawn like following:Students' English learning interest can be increased; learning attitude can be ameliorated; learning confidence can be improved, especially students take a greater part in English learning activities by applying task-based teaching approach.Students' English using ability in listening, speaking, reading and writing is improved, especially in listening and speaking by applying task-based teaching approach.Through the experiment, the feasibility and effectiveness of task-based teaching approach are proved. Nevertheless, this essay has its own deficiency and limitation. It can provide suggestions and references to the following studies.
