Task-based Approach has been advocated by National Curriculum Standards of English Course, which is the latest development of Communicative Approaches but has overcome the fatal problem occurring in CA that many unreal communicative activities have appeared in communicative classroom teaching. TBLT leads students to learn English by fulfilling a real-life task in order to improve their abilities to use English. In the practice of Task-based Approach in English classrooms, a real-life task, which has been previously designed, should be presented to students at the starting period. Then students will learn the contents as a preparation for the task fulfillment which will come at the end and involve all the knowledge and abilities the students have just learned. Task-based teaching reinforces learning by using, and learning for using as well.Task-designing goes step by step, from simple to complicated. This paper attempts to explore the necessity and implementation of Task-based Approach in ELT in junior middle schools. Vie the case of task-designing in classroom teaching, from the perspective of the definition, types and designing-models of tasks, etc., it mainly explores the penetration of task-based teaching concept in ELT in order to strengthen teaching content and improve language communicative competence.
