Higher Education has great significance for social development, it cultivates high-tech talents for the society, and it promotes social and economic development, it can also improve the cultural construction. Higher education provides a strong driving force for sustainable development of society. However, the key of construction and development of Higher Education are the teachers, they are the frontline workers of university research and teaching task, they are also serve the society at the frontline. Only stimulate the potential of the teachers can improve the quality and level of higher education.However the current incentives mechanism for university teachers is imperfect, this lead to the problem of teachers insufficient power. To improve incentives and enthusiasm for university teachers, it is necessary to study the source of power to stimulate teachers and the factors which can influence the power. This article will study them based on Kurt Lewin's field theory.Through the comprehensive and systematic analysis of environment field of university teachers, design the questionnaire, making the survey for teacher's experience of existing incentives mechanism of university. According to the actual teacher incentive mechanism, exploring the effective incentive methods and strategies.This article is divided into six chapters. The first chapter is introduction, discussing the purpose and significance of research, reviewing the current literature, proposing the research methods and innovation. The second chapter introduces the theoretical foundation, defining the concept of incentive, describing the incentive theory, elaborating Kurt Lewin's field theory and the significance of field theory to study the incentive mechanism of university teachers. The third chapter is the questionnaire, includes the questionnaire and survey results, etc. The fourth chapter analyzes the existing problems and the reasons for these problem based on the survey before. The fifth chapter proposes the corresponding improvement of incentive for teachers. The sixth chapter summarizes the full text and looks ahead the future research.This study uses questionnaire and statistic analysis as research method, studying teacher incentive problem, it supply and enrich the teacher incentive ideas and theories to a certain extent. The research results has important reference value for guiding the design science for effective incentive mechanism.
