The Deisgn And Study Of Intelligent Products Of Urban And Unassisted Elders Who Live Alone

The speed of aging is very fast in our country, which directly lead to more pressure of workforce and the lake of social resources. The mobility of population increasing and the coming of single wave lead to the condition that more and more old people have been living alone in the old age, meanwhile. Because of the wishes of the old people themselves, the group-based care services cannot adapt the future trend. As a result, more and more elders choose home-based care. This means that a new way for elders providing themselves is available except the traditional one. But when the self-help elders develop into the unassisted ones owing to the decline of health, their own conditions may not be able to meet the needs of home-based care.Accordingly, with the help of the definition of unassisted elder, this paper analyses the unassisted elders’ physiological conditions,mental conditions and outside factors, then design a smartwatch and matching app(application) to improve the current situations. The products make it possible to provide more convenient home-based care. By means of comprehensive considerations of unassisted elders’ senses, limbs and minds, the smartwatch has three functions including safty, entertainment and sociality. In order to improve the pertinence of it, sensor technology, Smart home technology, psychology of the old and organizing social resources are also interpolated into the product.
