Rural junior high school English teaching conditions and teaching situation have been both improved greatly and have obtained certain achievements in more than a decade of basic education English teaching reform(Wang Qi,Ding Xi2001).But it should not be ignored that there are still many influencing factors which objectively exist in rural junior high school students' English learning.Due to the dispersed rural schools,there is less attention by experts and scholars and the rural education worker's scientific research ability is limited.So there are few corresponding countermeasures for a long time.For this purpose,the researcher will carry on this study of rural junior high school students' English learning dilemmas.Through the analysis of various influencing factors,then put forward the corresponding countermeasures.At present stage,there are many achievements about English learning dilemma research at home and abroad.But some only expound the forming factors of learning dilemmas and some only provide the direction of the improvement.At the same time,the related researches pointing to the high school English learning dilemmas are in the majority.However,few people do related research about Chinese rural junior high school students' English learning dilemmas by using both the questionnaire survey method and the interview method to analysis the factors and put forward concrete resolution countermeasures.There are few studies in this area.Through a large number of literature review,the researcher found that the influencing factors of causing the rural junior high school students' English learning dilemmas focused on family factors,teacher factors and language learning environment factors by combining with the researcher's own English teaching actual situation and the English learning dilemma present situation in the town.The aim is to study and analyze what concrete aspects of the three factors influence and cause the rural junior high school students' English learning dilemmas by using questionnaire investigation method and interview method.At the same time,the researcher has found the specific solutions and effective countermeasures by interviewing the teachers.The research results showed that of all the influencing factors,the family factors are the most influential including students' parents degree is low,the money that the students' parents pay for the students' English learning every term is very little,parents' negative attitude towards English subject and so on.The teacher factors are mainly reflected in the following ways.Rural English teachers' teaching theories are backward.The teaching methods are single and boring.Their English professional knowledge is not good and the rural middle school English teachers can't apply the multimedia means and so on.The language learning environment factors include the lack of rural formal language environment and informal language environment.At the same time,the researcher has concluded some effective countermeasures based on being put into effect for one year by interviewing the English teachers.In view of the family factors,we should establish a home school communication and strive for changing the rural parents' negative attitude towards the English subject and lettingthem pay attention to their children's English learning dilemma problems to increase the investment in each term and provide a strong guarantee for the rural junior high school students' English learning.In view of the teacher factors,we should strengthen rural middle school English teacher training to change their backward teaching concept and teaching methods to promote the curriculum reform and construct the students' English learning behavior to foster new rural teachers' image.In view of the language learning environment factors,we should use more classroom expressions based on the rural junior high school students' cognitive level and try to create the English learning situations that are close to the rural junior high school students' life.Then let the students imitate and experience the use of English to urge the students to make the transition imperceptibly.
