Social responsibility is the most important content of social morality. It is the key to develop the harmonious society and also the driving force for our country to gain a long term development. As the builders and successors of the motherland in the future, they, junior high school students, have the social responsibility that not only relates to personal success, but also the whole national development and social prosperity. However, through three years teaching, the author has found that some of junior high school students are lack of social responsibility, attention and understanding for society and nation as a whole. Also, taking individual interests as a priority put over the interests of group. Therefore, it is important and also urgent to strengthen the junior high school students' social responsibility.There are many ways to strengthen and improve the social responsibility of junior high school students. The school can use ideological and moral teaching as the main methods. During the key period of developing social responsibility, Ideological and Morality(Book one) for Year 9 is about "shoulder social responsibility, welcome promising tomorrow". Hence, this article aims at the research about ideological and moral teaching for Year 9 students' social responsibility, based on various methods, such as searching, summarizing, interviewing, observing and so on. I will discuss the topic from the following three aspects. Firstly, this article mainly studied and analyzed the necessity of ideological and moral teaching of social responsibility for Year 9 students. Then this paper studied and summarized some outstanding issues of teaching. Problems such as teachers' shortage of social responsibility knowledge, at the same time, they mainly focus on teaching not learning, unreasonable teaching evaluation and students' lack of recognition of social responsibility; Finally, according to these problems, the author put forward to a number of practical ways and methods to enhance the teaching.Through improving the methods of the ideological and moral teaching of ninth grade students, the author suggested, teachers' teaching level improves. Also, it can develop the sense of responsibility for teachers and students. In addition, teaching effect and level improves a lot.
