Characteristic Analysis And Norm Development Of Positive Character For Chinese Adolescent Athletes

Adolescent athletes' positive character is a group of positive personality traits, which is reflected by the individual's cognition, emotion and behavior. And it is an important resource for the growth and development of adolescent athletes.The purpose of this study is to collect and analyze positive character data on Chinese adolescent athletes. On this basis, the norm for Chinese adolescent athletes' positive character is established to improve the evaluation system of it. Besides, this study aims to analyze the relationship between adolescent athletes' positive character and sports level, in order to find the advantages of personality system of athletes and provide a theoretical basis for training adolescent athletes' positive character.This study tests 11-18 years old adolescent athletes' positive character which are from 21 sports schools and professional sports teams in our country, using the questionnaire of adolescent athletes' positive character. 2539 valid questionnaires were collected. To balance the number of subjects between regions, 1388 samples are using to test the reliability and validity of the questionnaire, analyze the characteristics of adolescent athletes' positive character and develop the national norm of it, and analyze the relationship between positive character and sports level of adolescent athletes.The results of the study show that:(1) The adolescent athletes' positive character questionnaire's homogeneity reliability is 0.927, split-half reliability is 0.904. The goodness of fit index of questionnaire shows that: the value of ?2/df is 3.812; the value of GFI, AGFI, NFI, CFI and IFI are 0.867, 0.854, 0.816, 0.857 and 0.858; RMR and RMSEA value is 0.060 and 0.045.(2) The average value of positive character of our country's adolescent athletes is about 4.(3) The positive character of adolescent athletes in our country is not significant difference in gender and age, but the difference is significant in sports events and training years.(4) Because positive character shows significant differences in sports events, we develop a national norm of adolescent athletes' positive character in sports events.(5) Adolescent athletes' positive character shows no different in sports level. In different evens, some dimensions of adolescent athletes' positive character shows significant differences in sports level.Research conclusions are as follows:(1) The adolescent athletes' positive character questionnaire has good reliability and validity for national adolescent athletes.(2) The development of Chinese adolescent athletes' positive character is good.(3) adolescent athletes' positive character is not affected by gender and age, but influenced by sports events and training years.(4) This study develop a national norm of adolescent athletes' positive character in sports events.(5) The relationship between positive character and sports level of adolescent athletes is influenced by sports events.
