The Revising And Norm Of Shanghai Adolescent Moral Judgment Ability Test

In the early 1990s, with the guide of professor Li, the adolescent moral working group, including professor Gu of Shanghai Normal University, started the project of moral judgment ability test, which lasted three years, and ultimately"Shanghai adolescent moral judgment ability test"was developed, which had good validity in practice.During the two decades, with the development of economy, the social environment and the mental development of adolescent have made great changes, the criterions of moral judgment need to be refreshed. With the development of psychometrics, the research tried to revise the moral judgment ability test.Upon reviewing previous research, through document analysis, open-end questionnaire and structured interview, the paper revised the moral dilemmas and the options of moral judgment ability test. It improved indicators through predictive study, and eventually the revised edition of"Shanghai middle school students'moral judgment ability test"was developed. Through sampling survey of 1400 middle school students from 5 middle schools in Shanghai, the reliability and validity of the test was proved to be well, and the norm of"Shanghai middle school students'moral judgment ability test"was developed.Results:1.The revised edition of"Shanghai middle school students'moral judgment ability test"has good reliability and validity.2.Significant difference was not found in gender and academic ability.3.The ability of moral judgment follows the developmental law, and it can be developed with age.4.The regional grade norm, which was based on the revised test, is available for the measurement of the ability of Shanghai middle schools'moral judgment.5.It is a long and complicated process to cultivate the ability of adolescent moral judgment.
