Effects Of The Positive Psychology Course On The Positive Character Of College Students

The quality of college students is directly related to the future development of the country. Cultivating students positive character, whether it is for college students who want to be useful,or for universities who want to cultivate excellent students,is a necessary thing.The development of positive psychology provides a new perspective for mental health education of college students and leads students' psychological health from resolving problem to cultivating positive character.This study was based on the positive psychology theory to the students' psychological health education and quoted the research of positive psychology to the happiness course.Taking 32 college students from Harbin Engineering University as the research subjects and using One Way ANOVA to verity the level of positive quality results which was tested before course, after course, and two months after the end of the course is different. All that was to know whether the happiness course could affect the positive character of students or not and to actively promote the localization of positive psychology research.The results of this study show:(1) Using One Way ANOVA to verity the level of positive character results which was tested before course,after course,and two months after the end of the course is different,which can prove the happiness course is useful. The happiness course can promote the level of students positive character and the effect can maintain two months at least.(2) The happiness course could promote College Students' positive character of fractal dimension: relationship factor,vitality factor and conscientiousness factor. There exits a difference and this effect still exists two months after the end of the course.(3) Establishing the happiness course based on the theory of positive psychology that could promote the localization of positive psychology research.
