Life is a miracle,and human's life is unique and uncopiable.Consequently,education should be the one which attaches great importance to students' lives,satisfies the requirements aimed at life development and improves their own life quality.However,focusing too much on the scores or grades of the students,the modern education has been ignoring a good understanding of students' growth physically and mentally.As a result,it doesn't put much emphasis on the love and mutual understanding towards students and on their high pressure in daily studying and daily life,which bring about a large number of unbearable life losses and educational faults.This thesis mainly talks about the losses of present life education in the high school reading instruction of modern Chinese language and about the status quo of the poor consciousness of high school students.It includes the following four parts:As with the introduction,it simply introduces the reasons,purposes and meaning of this research.Moreover,it tells us the research situation at home and aboard and the research methodology.The first chapter starts with the connotation,features and meaning of life education,and states life education is the one that cares about life.Moreover,this chapter highlights the relationship between the life education and Chinese language instruction in elementary and preliminary schools.Then,based on the life education losses,it mainly analyses the problems and reasons why it happened.From the aspects of teaching materials,objectives and teaching processes,the second chapter highlights the life education in modern high school Chinese reading instruction.Specifically,as with the teaching materials,digging out enough life education sources in the teaching material extracts,the author classifies and re-organizes the theme of “life” in the four aspects of “self-value”,“human beings and society”,“human beings and nature” and “facing death”,thus developing the students' life awareness and reading ability.As for teaching objectives,the author analyzes the “life value” of teaching aims from the aspects of pressuring life,respecting life and improving life.As with the teaching processes,this thesis lists some instruction cases,analyses them and has got some implications.The third chapter mainly talks about how to carry out the life education in Chinese language reading instruction in high school,that is,the pre-class,while-class and post-class.The pre-class is the assignments of teaching aims when preparing a class.While-class is about different types of teaching strategies during a class,including creating kinds of situations as with life consciousness,experiencing lives by role-play,developing life routines of the author,savoring the language full of life flavor and the comparative reading among lives.And the post-class is about the reading practices of the students in their spare time,including the extra-reading,the comparative reading between movies about life and texts,and students' feelings after reading deepening their life experiment in writing.Combined with life education and Chinese language reading instruction,the writer of this thesis hopes teachers will pay great attention to leading students to love and pressure life,to face the drawbacks and turns in daily life,to seek after the value and meaning of life and to achieve the real and final life education,when the teachers meet some texts with life education connotations.
