From ancient times, as the important factors of driving social progress and development, technology has highly valued. With the rise of the third industrial revolution, industrialized countries'demand for talent in all aspects and at all levels are also rising. The education reform, especially the reform of science and technology education,has become a hot topic in many Western countries. Technical courses directly related to students how to generate ideas and put them into action. Science and technology education that in terms of emphasizing the importance of the practical ability, providing opportunities for students to develop decision-making and generate new solutions has play a unique role. This study set general technology curriculum standard of high school between China and American as a center to explore the contrast of two countries for designing,implementing, feedback of general technology curriculum.The General technology curriculum standards between the two countries in this study are: "technical high school curriculum standards (trial version)", formally promulgated by Chinese Ministry of Education in 2003 and "Standards for Technological Literacy Technology learning content",published in the US in 2000. Try hard to analyze deeply with the interpretation of curriculum standards in many provinces, as well as the contrast of standard technology curriculum in some states in USA.This study consists of three main parts, the first part is introduction of the article. It's mainly introduces the background, significance and methods of research. The second part consists of three chapters which including detailed compare the background, content and implementation of general technology curriculum standards between two countries. The third part, through summarized and analyzed the problems which general technology curriculum standard in the process of application has give some views and suggestions to Chinese high school for designing and implementing technology curriculum standards in present study.
