Science and technology are the primary productive forces,and the development and progress of science and technology begin with education.As a guiding document for the implementation of technical education in China,the general technology curriculum standard is also related to the future trend of science and technology in China to a great extent.On the basis of deeply summarizing the beneficial experience and existing problems in the implementation of the experimental draft of curriculum standards and widely drawing on the advanced concepts and experience of international technical education,the ministry of education issued “the general technology curriculum standards for ordinary high schools(2017 edition)” at the end of 2017,which is of landmark significance for China's general technology education.But even the newly revised curriculum standards can not guarantee perfect,there is still room for improvement.From the "eastward dissemination of western learning" to the "reform and opening up",China has never stopped the exchanges,comparisons and references with excellent countries in technical education,from which we have gained a lot.Therefore,it is very helpful to compare and analyze China's new general technology curriculum standards with foreign excellent curriculum standards.Canada,a technology giant,has performed excellently in technical education.The selection of Ontario's curriculum standards for technical education as the object of comparison is the best among the best.Through the comparative analysis of the curriculum standards of the two countries,it is bound to draw valuable enlightenment and reference for China's education.In this paper,literature review,comparative study and summarization are used to compare the current curriculum standards of general technology in China and Canada.There are six chapters in this paper,including introduction,four core comparative chapters and conclusion.In this paper,the curriculum standards of China and Canada consists of in-depth interpretation,comparative analysis,the advantages of reference.The first chapter is the introduction,which mainly describes the background,significance,purpose,content,method and innovation of this research.From chapter two to chapter five,the author makescomparative analysis on the framework structure,curriculum philosophy,curriculum objectives,curriculum structure,curriculum content and implementation Suggestions of the curriculum standards of the two countries,explores the similarities and differences of the curriculum standards of the two countries,and extracts some references from the similarities and differences.The last chapter is the conclusion,which is the overall and macroscopic summary of this research and elaborates the deficiencies of this research.
