The fundamental purpose of scientific education is to improve the scientific literacy of students. Science history contains the deep thinking to the evolutionary history of science and the abundant resources of education.Chemistry history as one of the important part of the history of science also has the rich education value. So it is very necessary to penetrate the history of chemistry gradually into the science education of primary school, starting from young to cultivate students' thinking method of scientific research, set up the correct scientific concept, better grasp the essence of science, improve the students' scientific literacy, and promote the comprehensive development of students. This paper based on the study of the relevant literature, discussed the educational value and status of the history of chemistry from theoretically, carries on the text analysis on eight science textbooks from three to six grade of Jiang Su Education Edition. The study's index is based on the “accompany meaning” put forward by Wei Bing, the context of “nature of science” from“2016 plan” of American and the “eight dimensions” in analyzing the materials proposed by Leite(2002).The thesis starts with the study of distribution, involving region and presenting form of the knowledge of chemistry history. The analysis results show that the content of chemistry history has a small proportion in the primary school science textbooks, the distribution is not uniform, the involved years are not balanced, and although it shows in the form of illustrations and fits the age characteristics of primary and secondary school students, it can't get the enough attention of teachers and students. On the basis of the analysis of the textbooks and the science historyteaching model of IHV(interactive historical Vignettes) proposed by Wandersee, the paper takes instructional design of paper for the fourth chapter the second section of the third garde's textbook, and has teaching practice in science curriculum in Inner Mongolia Hangjinqi Bala Gong elementary school. The practice results showed that this teaching model had to improve students' interest, stimulate students' sense of exploration, cultivate students' ability to cooperate, to enhance students' practical ability, students should understand the plain scientific knowledge. The end aiming at some problems existing in the current presentation of primary school science textbook content of chemistry history gives some suggestions that include to strengthen the links between science, technology and society, dynamic handling scientific content, focus on training teachers of history of science and teaching chemistry history content in the form of diversification. This study can provide a rational and efficient reference which in prepared, use and development of materials, provide some practical experience for teaching of chemistry history in primary school.
