"SOLO" is short for "Observed results of Learning Structure".hich is based on the data to the multi-discipline academic evaluation put forward by educational psych-ologists Mr Biggs and Collis..The theory is that, it can analyze the students' cognitive level through the observation of the learning outcomes. and according to the complexity of the results from low to high is divided into five levels. In recent years, there are more and more researches on this theory. It mainly focused on the theoretical study of concepts such as the open questions, and it also widely used in teaching evaluation, etc. However, the chemical teaching design of high school based on the theory of SOLO classification is relatively rare. Therefore, to explore the practicing and guiding significance of the SOLO classification theory to the high school chemistry teaching design and apply it. which is not only a further exploration of theoretical value but also an effective means to improve the quality of chemistry teaching. This study assessed more than 100 students in senior one of two parallel class in No.1 Middle School of Yihuang in Fuzhou,Jiangxi province. The control experiment was done with different teaching design by a teacher to two same level of thinking through a pretest, then statistical analysis was made to find the changes before and after. It is found that there are significant differences on the influence of different teaching design for high student thinking level, and teaching in chemistry teaching design based on the theory of the SOLO classification can significantly improve the level of students' thought.
