In the background of deepening reform of education in China,Geography education has achieved remarkable results in teaching philosophy,quality and effect.But,there are many problems to be solved in the design of geography teaching in high school,it is performance that some teaching designs of geography too much emphasis on the basic knowledge to mobilize the enthusiasm of students and the development of students' geographical thinking.The SOLO classification theory is a qualitative evaluation tool Which the most prominent feature is the hierarchical description.The level of thought is analyzed by describing the characteristics of the individual.In this paper,the necessity,feasibility and effectiveness of the design of geography teaching guided by SOLO classification theory as the research object in order to change the present geography teaching design which is unreasonable and can not be good to mobilize the enthusiasm of the students.In the process of research,to make efficient use of SOLO classification theory to the teaching goal setting,teaching process design,selection of teaching methods and teaching evaluation conducted a comprehensive guidance and organic blend in high school geography core literacy teaching design by using literature method,observation method,experimental method and other research methods.The results of teaching experiment show that the experimental class is better than control class in class response and after-class test,pre-test and post-test results.To compared with the traditional teaching design,the geography teaching design of high school guided by SOLO classification theory is more in line with the cognitive development level of high school students and has a unique role in mobilize enthusiasm and initiative of students.The SOLO classification theory used in the design of teaching has the vital significance,the teaching design more reasonable with the guidance of the theory.It not only promoted the development of the students' thinking level but also improved the teaching effect and quality.In addition,it can provide an important theoretical basis and reference to improvement of teaching methods and teaching design for geography teachers in senior high school.There are five parts in this paper,The first part is the introduction,this section is mainly introduced the research background,the research status of SOLO classification theory at home and abroad,the purpose and significance of this thesis and the technical route.The second part is the theoretical part of this paper which are elaborated The definition,connotation and characteristics of SOLO classification theory and analyzed the necessity and feasibility of SOLO classification for teaching design.The third and fourth parts are the key parts of this paper.the third part is to determine the classroom teaching objectives,processes,methods and evaluation according to the SOLO classification theory and guide the teaching design from several aspects.The fourth part is the practical inspection through two classes which selected to test the effectiveness of the SOLO classification theory to guide the geography teaching.The fifth part is the conclusion.The experimental results show that the teaching design with the guidance of SOLO classification theory can be full of students' needs,active classroom atmosphere,enhance students' level of thinking and cultivate the core quality of geography.
