Nearly A Decade Of Henan Province Special Education School Sports Activities To Carry Out The Present Situation Investigation And Study

The disabled are the unfortunates in society. Like other members, they are the important parts of our human family, they should als o enjoy basic ri ghts to subsistence and education. At the same time, as special people, they should also receive and share special education resorces which are fit for their physical and mental abilities and characteristics. As the best place for the life and study of special people, special education school can develop physical activities to strengthen the bodies, improve healthy conditions and volitional quality for them. Besides, as part of education, physical activities in special education school are mot only the important means, but also the important content of special education.In recent 10 years, with the implementation of compulsory education, Paralympic Games were held successfully, athletes with disabilities made excellent performance in London Paralympics, sp more and more people focused on physical activities, which are supported by more and more policies and system guarantee. Henan province, which has the largest population of special people, has surveyed on activities held by special education school in recent 10 years. It has im portant theoretical and the practical significances for developing sports activities and future development.The author in this thesis used documentary study, investigation method, mathematical statistics and analysis to make systematic investigation on part of special education schools through field visit amd investigation. Conclusions are as follows:(1)the distribution of special education school in urban and rural areas is uneven, and the gap in numbers of students is large;(2)security problems restrict the development of physical activities of special education school in Henan province;(3)sports funds is increasing, but the fact of insufficient funds and little source channel is still exist;(4)high faculty-student ratio, seriously lack of PE teac hers;(5)sports field, equipment, infrastructure have been improved but is still not complete;(6)few sports competitions for special students, it is difficult fot students to participate in the competition.According to present situation of physical activities in special education school in Henan province, there are s ome solutions for t he development of physical activities in special education school:(1)governments at all levels strengthen their support for the development of physical activities of special education school;(2)improve the understanding for sp ecial people;(3)strengthen focus and support for special education school;(4)training and attracting special PE teachers;(5)complete the building of special sports field, equipment and infrastructure;(6)inprove sports competition system, hold the sports meeting reasonably.
