On the basis of related theories including philosophy of science and technology, sociology of knowledge and sociology of science, the research combines literature re search and case analysis to delve into the process of vertical Inheritance of knowledge from the elite groups to common research stuff in the universities and colleges before i t gets a clear outline of organization structure.Moreover, the research attaches importa nce to analyzing the problems appearing in the process and poses some targeted soluti ons.Study includes five parts: 1.to state concept of scientific community in the scienti fic community college and universities in China, its organization structure and its rele vant theories;2.to summaries two types of its internal knowledge extending; 3. to anal yze the barriers and causes in the process; 4. to explore some practical solutions to the knowledge extending obstacles.Study found that: 1. The scientific community is composed of elite colleges and u niversities, backbone of scientific research in Universities, scientific research team an d general scientific researchers in Universities, the four joint interaction, each other m utual understanding and absorption, the feedback process;2.The two types are hierarch ical extension and direct impartment in the process; 3. The whole knowledge extensio n features in hierarchy, the nature of learning from teachers, tacit knowledge, concentr ation and interaction; 4. The inheritance of knowledge also shows inert willingness, in formation asymmetry and content ineffectiveness; 5.The research decodes reasons and brings the countermeasures in the process of extending knowledge from the respects of entire knowledge impartment, elite communities, scientificresearch teams and regul ar research stuff.
