With the overall promotion of quality education and education reform goes further,mental heath education for the harmonious development of physical and mental of students has been increasingly attached great importance to the whole society and become the proper meaning of the development of quality education in China.School mental health education is an important part of ideological and political education.It plays a basic role in the cultivation of students' character,psychological quality,and the outlook on life,world and value.High school students are special group of people.They are in the key period of the development of life and experience tremendous change on the physical and mental development.They need to due with the preparation for society and the college entrance examination test,including academic pressure,complicated interpersonal relationship and social adaptability of their life.The correct psychological counseling and scientific psychological health education is necessary in this period.This paper is based on the case study of the X high school of Zhoukou city,Henan province.The researcher tries to analyze common problems and restrictive factors existing in the current town high school mental health education.The writer's teaching and consultation experience help to understand and grasp the problem of mental health education in the senior high school.On the whole,in the face of high school students' prominent psychological problems and radical thoughts,the educators still focus on test scores and graduation rates,the concept of mental health education lags behind;students' counseling channel is not smooth,the psychological problems of students cannot be solved effectively;compared with mental health education teachers of western developed countries,our teachers have low qualification,more part-time job and lack of professional training;incomplete curriculum setting and so on.In order to improve the effect of school mental health education and promote the all-round development of students,the town high school can solve above problems from the following aspects: understanding and orientating the meaning of mental health education;regulating the management of mental health education curriculum,forming a management system of coordination work and establishing the corresponding working system;regulating the implementation of mental health education curriculum,selecting appropriate course content,flexible teaching methods and rich variety of curriculum forms;building a high quality group of mental health education teachers,improving teachers' status and treatment,developing the learning community and training chance for teacher and introducing external resources;fully use the power of all parties,and enhancing the relationship among school,family and community;building a special school psychological consultation room,establishing psychological files of teachers and students and advocating scientific psychology consulting ideas.
