The rapid development of the economic and social brings obviously improvement on people’s living, but at the same time also takes more and more pressure of social and psychological. The problem of students’ mental health is more and more serious in the social common "high pressured", especially for senior high school students who are in the face of the important moment of the college entrance examination, it makes them under double pressure of physiological and psychological, however the psychological health education of them is often neglected under the present education system in our country. As the new reform of basic school courses, the integrated development of the students has become a necessary requirement, and senior high school mental health course has been deemed as an important way to carry out the mental health education by the relevant researchers. Till now there has been obvious achievements in the course implementation, but also problems.This text combines with<the guide and outline of primary and middle school mental health> and requirements on senior high school psychological health education work by the new reform of basic school courses, integrates several research methods, such as literature analysis, questionnaire survey, interview, and so on, investigates in32senior high school teachers and294students applicating self-made questionnaire and sampled the15high schools in xi’an which have carry out mental health courses, objectivated on finding problems and countermeasures to put forward its development through the present situation investigation and result analysis. In the hope to make a direction for the development of senior high school mental health course on theory and method, to avoid it turning disciplined.It is composed of five chapters in this text:Chapter1:introduction. It mainly includes the putting forward of the problems of this subject, the related defines of high school mental health course, an the summary of related research in domestic and abroad.Chapter2:basis of research. The discourses mainly starts from the theoretical basis of the subject, policy basis and the characteristics of senior high school mental health course.Chapter3:the present situation investigation and analysis. It starts from mental health courses in senior high school, mental health teachers, classroom education, courses implementation assistant and course evaluation; to find that there are problems such as its is marginalization, out of system, much different levels, material not meet the demands, the teacher’s position is not guaranteed, the teachers cannot get combined.Chapter4:countermeasure. On base of defining the nature and orientation of the high school mental health course, propose the countermeasures such as to construct popularization broader high school mental health education system, to strengthen the team of mental health teachers and teaching material at the same time, to emphasize the development of the course, the integration of education resources, reform and improve the mental health evaluation system and etc.The end:conclusion. To summarize the research results and shortcomings of this text, and to make prospect of further research on the high school mental health courses.
