Recently, the rapid development of university education foundation has provided important financial support for university teaching and scientific research. As we all know that the development of university education foundation is particularly depends on alumni resources. In order to make full use of alumni resources, there is always an association director between university education foundation and alumni association, which provides a resource exchange channel for university education foundation and alumni association. However, the improvement of organization resource condition is the result of multiple factors, and the existence of association director does not necessarily lead to the cross-border flow of resources. Therefore, in-depth study the mechanism of association director on foundations fundraising capability and explore the factors that influence foundations fundraising ability have important value for university education foundations break resource constrain and improve organizational governance.Based on data from a sample of 88 foundations, by introducing resource dependence theory and social network theory, this paper from two aspects of correlation amplitude and correlation intensity analyzes the association directors financing effects of university education foundations. Results show that:Firstly, correlation amplitude and director-general correlation have no significant effect on fundraising capacity; secondly, the secretary-general correlation is significantly negatively correlated with fundraising capacity. The results manifest that members of the boards of directors, including director-general and secretary-general do not play a significant role in promoting resource flowing between organizations. The paper also analyzes the effects of the sources of association directors on foundations fundraising capacity. Results demonstrate that when the foundation director-general is a president, the correlation amplitude is positively correlated with fundraising capacity, which means that the president has a strong resource motivation effect; when the foundation secretary-general is the head of the department, secretary-general correlation is negatively correlated with fundraising capacity, for the background and the lack of professional knowledge reduce the foundations fundraising capacity.University education foundations can put forward corresponding measures to improve association directors fundraising capacity by de-administration in university education foundation, improving the incentive mechanism and the structure of the boards of directors of university education foundations, promoting the professionalization of executive layer in university education foundations.
