In the historical course of humanity,the splendid civilization of immeasurable magnificence has been created and greatly developed.Among them,culture is a collective memory of the country.The Chinese nation has a time-honored cultural history of more than five thousand years,and such an abundant spiritual resource has not only provided us with a continuous flow of theoretical foundation,but also valuable materials to the ideological and political quality education of the university students.The pre-Qin dynasty has always played an overwhelmingly vital part in the development of the traditional Chinese culture.In this era,two principal schools of traditional Chinese culture—Mohism and Confucianism emerged and were collectively known as the famous school.The ideology of Mo-tse is endowed with values of times of great importance;his educational thought flied his own color,with on the one hand emphasizing the education theory and on the other hand paying close attention to practical training.This thesis makes an attempt to do a further exploration on the education thought of Mo-tse and tries to incorporate such a renowned idea with the education of university students' ideological and political education,with the elaboration on his educational theory and methodology,for the purpose of shedding a light to above-mentioned educational program.This thesis is divided into five parts,specifically is as follows:The introduction of this thesis summarizes the background and significance for conducting this research,followed is the research outcome and mainly views of Mohism education from both home and abroad,and then comes the methodology and research approach of this thesis.The first chapter outlines the origin and background of Mohism and the ten propositions put forward by Mo-tse,then his educational principles,objective,contents and methodology is abstracted on the basis of the previous analysis,which would lay a theoretical foundation for the following discussion.The second chapter is a comparison between the relevant university students' ideological and political education theory with that of Mohist,namely,the spirit ofactive learning without being forced,the interacting theory,be loyal and modest,teaching students by precepts and examples,and universal love.Through the following comparison,the ideological and political education system is supposed to be exploited from Mohism which is expected to resolved the problems confronted by the present educational program and give it some enlightenment.The conclusion of this thesis illustrate the retrospection and creative innovation towards the Mohist education thought from the perspective of the current era.
