Carrying out the cultivation of new type of vocational farmers and improving the quality of farmers is the key to solving the "Three Rural issues".It plays an important role in increasing farmers’ income and the development of modern agriculture.That secondary vocational schools must serve the society is an important part of modern vocational education.Carrying out the cultivation of farmers has become an important task of vocational schools.Currently,secondary vocational schools are conducting exploration in practice about how to cultivate new type of vocational farmers,and is playing an increasingly important role.The article is based on the practical cultivation of new type of vocational farmers carried out in secondary vocational schools and by means of questionnaires,interviews and other research methods,the current situation of cultivation is grasped.The author makes an analysis of concrete circumstances in the cultivation of new type of vocational farmers carried out in secondary vocational schools including the results achieved and the existing problems.Suggestions are put forward about how to improve the cultivation of new type of vocational farmers in secondary vocational schools,which helps the cultivating work of new vocational farmers carried out effectively and strengthens the self-construction of secondary vocational schools as well.This paper is divided into four chapters.In Chapter One the research background and significance,core concepts and theoretical basis,related research at home and abroad,research contents,purpose,research methods and technical routes are outlined.In Chapter Two the basic situation of China’s cultivation of new type of vocational farmers is analyzed from the perspective of policy development.The current cultivation of new type of vocational farmers in A secondary vocational school is taken as an example.In Chapter III the author takes the means of questionnaires,interviews and other research methods and analyzes the research findings.Then the author summarizes the achievements and problems in the cultivation of new type of vocational farmers carried out in A secondary vocational school.The major achievements are as follows.The hardware construction has been apparently improved.People involved pay enough attention to the cultivation and the management is gradually standardized.The construction of the double-qualified teachers team is getting boosted.Besides,social reputation for cultivation is changing from negative to positive.The farmers’ income are significantly increased and there are more and more farmers occupied in learning.But on the other hand,there are also some problems.The concept of rural vocational education at school is faint.The awareness of the intensive development of agriculture-related majors is insufficient.The cultivating management system is incomplete for lack of proper regulations and there are shortcomings in the teaching process of cultivation.Chapter Four is based on above analysis and recommendations are made on the cultivation of new type of vocational farmers in secondary vocational schools.Secondary vocational schools should have a correct sense of developing rural vocational education.The intensive construction ought to be improved in terms of teachers and major settings.The management system should be standardized in order to strengthen the cultivating effectiveness.Furthermore,the cultivating methods should be flexible and innovative for the sake of cultivation quality.At the same time,secondary vocational schools need to broaden channels to improve the service performance.
