With the accelerated development of information age, the rhythm of people’s life is speeding up. WeChat, Weibo became an indispensable part of People’s Daily life. People’s life style, learning style have changed dramatically. As the various of micro information pouring into student’s study and life, making more and more people enter to the "micro-learning" age. In order to accommodate with the era of micro study, one with knowledge point as the theme, with videos as the main way of presentation form, the micro-course is emerging. Taking advantage of its swiftness and rapidness, micro-courses allow learners to concentrate on one single knowledge point. This broke the traditional way of learning which is constrainted by time and spaces, make it possible for learners to learn using fragmentary time and make learning happens anytime and anywhere. Micro-course as a new type of learning resource, its design and development is very important for the sharing and co-building of network educational resources. The mobile Internet WeChat share a big percentage in the market. There were some mobile learning resources been presented using the WeChat Media Platform, however the scale has not yet formed. Currently, the study of the design, development, implementation, management and evaluation of micro-courses are at exploring stage, has not yet formed a unified understanding.This study investigated and analyzed both the cognition status of high school students in micro-courses and the learning requirement for micro-courses. It also analyzed the coupling between WeChat and micro-courses considering the characteristics of WeChat. This study summarized the characteristics of the micro-courses. At the same time, this study designed a template for developing micro-courses and proposed some design principles for micro-courses based on WeChat. As an example, the author developed " High school information technology " micro-courses based on the template designed and the principles proposed, and practiced it in teaching activities. This template and those principles not only provide efficient and high-quality learning resources for high school students, but also provide ideas for teachers in the study of micro-course resources selection,design and development, which are significant for the reform of teaching.
