As one of the compulsory subject in high school biology,steady-state and environment module has a pivotal position.Knowing and understanding the steady-state and the environment is helpful for students to understand living systems at system level,to understand the biological significance at overall perspective.As a teacher,you need to timely know the situation which the students master the knowledge of this module,scientifically evaluate students' capacity of steady-state and environment module.Scientific evaluation need under the guidance of the scientific method,supported by scientific measurement tools.At present,China's educational measurement is mainly under the guidance of Classical Test Theory.Classical Test Theory origin early,develop maturely,is widely used,but it is not perfect.Due to the limitations of its own measurement methods and the technique,resulting in that it depend on the specific test,the specific sample and its measurement error is too large.However,one of the achievements of Modern measurement theory-Item Response Theory can effectively make up for the deficiency,evaluate an individual capacity level in a certain field accurately and scientifically.This study under the guidance of Item Response Theory,using the method such as literature data,Delphi method,test survey method,the Rasch model analysis method,combined with the new course standard of biology in high school,as well as the main content of teaching program,work out a scientific assessment tools,and research on the students of the first middle school of Changle,Weifang,Shandong Province.The research is divided into three steps: organization of assessment tools,inspection and correction of assessment tools,practice research of the assessment tools.The final results of the study are as follows:1.A high school biology steady-states and environment module evaluation tools.Through a series of tests analysis,the evaluation tool's overall quality is good,the indicators is normal.It can be used to evaluate the students' ability of the module.2.Practice research results show the ability of every student of class 5,6 in the first middle school of Changle,Weifang,Shandong Province.In addition,practice research results can also show that the average level of the students of class 5 is significantly higher than the average level of the students of class 6,coincide with the actual situation,which also proved again the effectiveness of the assessment tool.
