Since entering modern society,economy,science and technology of human have been developing rapidly.People's living standards have also been improved greatly.In order to meet the needs of people's life,the change of vehicle is also speeding up.Modern transportation provides unprecedented convenience and efficiency for people's life.At the same time,it also causes the problem of traffic safety.In recent years,due to breaking the traffic rules and lacking awareness of traffic safety,traffic accidents occur frequently,and most of the victims are students.Thereupon the demand for traffic safety education in the school becomes higher and higher.However,the previous traditional methods of security education seems not to be effective.Based on the situation,some policies,laws and regulations are established in China,including that teachers have the obligation to penetrate the education of public traffic safety in the discipline teaching and comprehensive practice activities.Physics is a subject that is closely related to science and technology and life.Lots of resources can be chosen as the traffic safety education materials.Meanwhile,it can make students improve awareness of traffic safety and abilities of self-protection when learning knowledge.The paper consists of six parts.The first part is introduction.It's mainly about the research background,the significance and the methods of the research.The second part is theoretical basis.Firstly,the researcher defines the concept of traffic safety education and makes the review of the formation and development of traffic safety education.Secondly,the feasibility of this research is analyzed and exemplified.Finally,some related educational thoughts and theories are listed as the evidence of the study.The third part is investigation and analysis.In order to know students' understanding of traffic safety related to physics,the researcher hands out questionnaires and does interviews for some teachers and students in the period of education practice,and data of the results are collected and analyzed.In the fourth part,the knowledge points which are connected with traffic safety education in the textbook of People's Education Press are classified and concluded,according to the compulsory course and elective course.The fifth part is the example of teaching design.It chooses two representative courses to design the teaching activities.The last part is summary.The researcher summarizes some ideas in the process of research and has a reflection on the shortcomings of the research.Moreover,it gives suggestions for the research in the future.
