The HPS education as a mode of the science education,is advocated that the relevant contents of the history,philosophy and sociology of science corporation into the science education,in order to help students to deepen the understanding of science and cultivate students' innovative ability.It is an effective way to improve the levelof science quality educated,and has great help to the scientific quality education in our country.Geography is an important part of the middle school science education.Integrating HPS into the practice of high school geography curriculum can not only enrich the teaching content,but also help to stimulate students' enthusiasm for learning and expand their geographical innovation ability.The research of geography teaching design using HPS education model,will enrich the theory and practice of high school geography curriculum reform,and promote the teaching reform of high school geography curriculum.This papercollects and reviews theresearch progress of HPS education at home and abroad,and through the questionnaire survey,analysis the problems of HPS education into high school geography teaching,such as: Teachers' understanding of the scientific value of HPS education is insufficient,and the lack of attention;Teachers lack of knowledge reserves;The channel of HPS source is narrow.The strategy of HPS education into high school geography teaching,the basic guiding ideology should be followed: To mobilize the subjectivity of the students as the center;HPS education related content as the carrier;In order to improve students' geographical science literacy as the goal;Adopt diversified teaching methods and means in the classroom.Combined with the three patterns of HPS education--integration mode,replenishment mode,and dialogue and exchange mode,select two high school geography content corresponding teaching case design and for HPS education into high school geography teaching practice to make an attempt.Finally,a brief description of the HPS education into high school geography teaching difficulties,and puts forward some suggestions: To strengthen teacher's theory study,change the teaching idea of geography teachers;Improve the teachers' scientific literacy,Broaden the source channels of HPS resource;Perfect the system of teacher evaluation.
