Since the founding of new China, the college education and teaching of "situation and policy"(CETSP) has developed from scattered political learning activities into a regular course of ideological and political theory course in Colleges. Researching on the status and effects,history development of CETSP, and summarizing the experience and rules, could provide positive inspiration for strengthen the CETSP in the new era, thus have great theoretical guiding and practical significance for the development of CETSP.This article is based on the development of CETSP, and follow the clues of the party and the state’s documents for CETSP and the leaders’ speech in each period, it research and summarize each period of CETSP since the founding of new China, reveals its course from production to development to experience to retreat and finally to standardization, and elaborates its status and effects, so as to sum up the basic experience, and provide inspiration for the reform and innovation for CETSP, and promote the development of CETSP.The full text is divided into four partsThe first part: Introduction. The reason of selected topic, the research significance, research status, research idea and methods, emphases and difficulty, main contents and innovation points are Briefly discussed in this part.The second part: Status and effects of new China’s CETSP. Comprehensively analyze the status and main effects of CETSP from the state, colleges and universities, subject construction and personal four aspects, and provide strong support for summing up experience.The thied part: Development history of new China’s CETSP. Mainly elaborate the development of CETSP from the prospective of history, the whole chapter is divided into five parts, it briefly introduce the background, methods and the effects of CETSP in each period, provide historical basis for further analyzing status and effects and summarizing experience.The fourth part: The basic experience and enlightenment of CETSP since the founding new China.This part summarize the basic experience of CETSP from the organization management, education teaching, the teachers construction and course construction six aspects on the basis of the history theory, provide enlightenment for the reforming of CETSP.
