| As a compulsory course of elementary and middle schools, mathematics is of great significance to the development of students. Modern evaluation on mathematical learning points out, it’s not only the process of the teacher towards student’s one-way stimulus-reaction, also can let students do self-evaluation. It is a common trend to the reform of the evaluation across the global. But how to use self-evaluation to promote students’ mathematical learning, which methods of self-evaluation should be used to different mathematical activities and how long should be set to the self-evaluation cycle are still important problems for teachers and students to solve.In order to solve these problems, many scholars have made a lot of efforts. On the basis of the previous studies, the methods and process of the self-evaluation to the students’ mathematical learning is studied in this paper. This paper is divided into five chapters. In the first chapter, the background, significance, related concepts, basic theories, main methods and the innovations are summarized.In the second chapter, the present condition of the self-evaluation research is described in detail from the quantitative and qualitative angle, the main results on self-evaluation is illustrated, and a quantitative analysis of international literature is made. The important meanings of this research are demonstrated again.In the third chapter, a questionnaire about the present situation of the self-evaluation ability to the seventh grader’s mathematical learning is investigated. According to the survey results, the reasons why students lack of the knowledge of the self-evaluation are found. Before the empirical research is carried out in the fourth chapter, the knowledge of self-evaluation and how to do the self-evaluation have been taught to students.In the fourth chapter, according to taxonomy of the educational objectives, the self-evaluation index system is determined, different self-evaluation methods are chosen for the first class indexes of the system and an empirical research to the process of the self-evaluation is carried out. Then by dealing with the experimental data, the most suitable self-evaluation cycle for the seventh grader’s mathematical learning is set.In the fifth chapter, through analyzing the underlying reasons to the experimental results, the deficiencies and limitations in the research are pointed out, some suggestions for future research are proposed. Hoping the study can help other scholars to do relative researches.As Plato said, "The first and final victory is to conquer oneself, only possessing the scientific understanding, proper design and strict management, ones can stand in the forefront of history to create a new life". |
