Communication is the uniquely socical practice activity of human beings, which constitutes the way of human existence,embodies the the characteristics of human subjectivity. With social progress and development, from the area of mathematics, philosophy, sociology communication turn to education, and trying to change the defect of traditional teaching "subject- object" teaching mode, which regards teachers as the main body and the center, and places students in a passive position.By thinking of the philosophy of the communication essence, construct the teaching mode of "subject- subject" and "subject(teacher)- object(media)- the subject(student)", reshape the subjective position participating teaching activity, its goal is to achieve "liberation" of students, advocating the establishment of equal, democratic, teacher-student relationship, because the quality of teacher-student communication directly affects the effect of teaching. "Knowledge-based" of cognitive teaching theory should be turned to "all-round development" of people. Communicative teaching is characterized by generation, creativity, subjectivity, since the introduction of concerned theory at 1980 s, pay attention to "intersubjectivity of students", construct favorable teacher-student relationship, conform to the socialist "all-round development" theory, accord to the concept of quality oriented education.Higher education has the function of "teaching, research, personnel training, and social services", especially "training" needs to be achieved through classroom teaching. College is to cultivate creative, innovative talents, compared with other educational levels of students, students entering higher education have a certain amount of knowledge accumulation, strong cognitive ability and logical thinking ability, which provide the basis to carry out the teaching of communication.This paper is divided into four parts, mainly related to reason of choosing this subject, thesinificance of research, the major domestic and foreign research and the main methods and ideas.The first part started with concerned concepts of communication, combining documental definitions of communication and communicative teaching, to define features and content, as well as the theoretical basis of this study.The second part started with students and teachers invovled in communicative teaching, the essence of communicative teaching and the way of achieving communicative teaching, combining the characteristics of higher education teaching, analyzes the main characteristics of communivative teaching in colleges.Through classroom observation and investigation methods, the third part analyse the current situation of college classroom teaching, the defect of communicative teaching, the reason of occuring barrier and the main the factors affecting communicative teaching.The fourth part aiming the main issue of comminucative teaching carrying out in colleges, propose the specific measures and solutions of commincative subject sutdent-teacher, teaching evaluation system, teaching environment, hold the view that establish democratice, equal teacher-student relationship, regard the language or nonverbal as teaching media, engaging dialogue main way of teaching, improvingthe teaching of the space environment, establishing a diversified evaluation system, are measures to build communicative teaching in colleges and improve teaching quality.
