Education has always been a high-profile issue. It is the foundation of the country and the mark of a thriving nation. The fundamental value of education is to train personnel for the country in various fields and to creat scientific knowledge and material wealth for the community, so it can promote the economic growth, human development and national progress. Teachers, not only plays a decisive role to education development, but also related to a country's future and destiny. However, the quality of education needed to be achieved by excellent teachers because the quality level of teachers has a direct impact on the level of education, which requires teachers to constantly improve their quality so as to follow the development of the epoch and play a role in promoting the whole educational progress. In order to better promote quality education in the 21 st century, China's Ministry of Education, according to the actual situation, implemented several educational reforms. In 2001, China adopted a new round of curriculum reform and put forward higher standards and requirements to all aspects of teachers. In the teaching process, teachers should fully reflect the leading role and the subject status of students. The analysis of the quality level of teachers has necessary practical significance for solving practical problems encountered in the implementation of the new curriculum, ensuring the smooth implementation of the new curriculum, and improving the quality of education.The author combines her own expertise and experience in school teaching practice together and summarizes the experience by combining the teaching theories and the practice of educating. By the methods of consulting literature, interviewing the frontline politics teachers, combining the existing research data on teachers quality optimization, according to the reality of teaching in middle school political lessons, this thesis discusses the concepts of middle school politics teachers' quality and the quality politics teachers in the new area should have.On the basis of a full understanding of politics teachers' status, role and demands of the new curriculum reform, this thesis analyze the present quality situation of China's political teacher, the existing problems and causes and also it presented that teachers' quality optimization should be conducted from two levels. Analysis from the macro level, the State, society, schools should provide support and help to optimize the quality of teachers. Analyzing from the micro level, to optimize the quality of teachers is also an improvemental process to the teachers. Teachers should achieve their own progress with constantly self-improvement and self-development, using their own personal reality. Through these two levels, studing from the creatively perspective of the quality of the teaching profession, the thesis study the essential qualities a political teacher should have in detail, and proposed some superficial insights towards the optimization of teachers' quality and the development of this profession, striving to provide a reference for the thought and political curriculum reform of middle school.This thesis is divided into five parts:The first part is an introduction which mainly describes the background, the significance, the domestic and foreign researches and the writing scheme and methods.The second part defines the concept of high school thought and political teachers' qualities under the new curriculum reform, including teachers' quality on general and the middle school thought and political teachers' specially.The third part analyzes the concept of new curriculum reform. The analysis shows the necessity of the quality optimization of high school politics teacher.The fourth part analyzes the current problems of thought and political teachers and the causes of these problems.According to the current problems mentioned in the fourth part, the fifth part presents strategy of optimization of teachers' quality, from the following four aspects: the state, society, schools and individual teachers.
