In current explosive growth era of information with rapid development of science and technology and knowledge, education and talent becomes the core of competition between each countries over the world. However, each of them is not independent of teachers. In our country, in our country, a new round reform of basic education curriculum has been kicked off at the turn of the century. Compared with the previous curriculum reforms, this reform operates more thoroughly and is a comprehensive, systematic, scientific curriculum renewal based on new curriculum concept. All these can not be separated from teachers. Therefore, optimization of the teachers' quality has become more important.I checked on a lot of data concerning research and exploration of teachers' quality, and summarize the teachers' quality, then with the help of the actual content of the new curriculum reform;I presented the demands of the biology curriculum reform to the high school biology teacher. Furthermore, I found out the gap between quality of biology teacher in current high school and the demands of the new curriculum, then, presented some optimization strategies — self-optimization of teacher and teacher training. And on this basis, through practical researches on teachers' quality, selecting some biology teachers in a high school as subject investigated, the authors applied these strategies to the practice of research of teachers' quality optimization to improve the quality of biology teachers in high school, and achieved remarkable result. The practice study of the study of teachers' quality optimization illustrated the optimization strategy is effective fully.Methods used in the study include the documentation method, the questionnaire method, systems analysis method, the practice of study method..The structure of the paper consists of the following seven components.Part one: Introduction. Introducing the background of selecting subject and the purpose and the status quo of the study briefly.Part two: outlines of the teacher quality. To expound the quality, the quality of teacher and the requirements of the teacher quality all over the world and thesignificance to study the quality of high school biology teacher.Part three: the reforms of the basic education curriculum and its requirements on the quality of the high school biology teacher. Mainly to expound the background of the reforms of the basic education curriculum and basic concept of the high school curriculum reform of biology and the requirement of the reforms of the basic education curriculum on the quality of the high school biology teacher.Part four: investigation and analysis of the high school biology teacher quality. By investigating and analyzing the high school biology teacher in most part of Shandong province particularly, we discover some quality of the high school biology teacher suiting or not suiting to the new curriculum.Part five: the optimization of the high school biology teacher quality, based on the research and analysis of the high school biology teacher quality, we proposed the optimization strategies of the high school biology teacher quality ~ self-optimization and teacher training. Self-optimization is that from the internal causes teachers discover the gaps, and through their own efforts improve their own quality;Teacher training is start from the external causes for the high school biology teachers to improve the quality of conditions.Part six: The practice and research of the optimization of high school biology teacher quality. By applying the optimization strategies of the high school biology teacher quality to the practice of research, and comparing the results of the experiments for more than a year, these strategies are proved to be effective.Part seven: Conclusion and recommendation. In this part, the research findings were brought forward and expectations and suggestions of the development of the high school biology teacher quality were made and to the high school biology teacher made to the development of quality and made some suggestions.
